General Club Information for ALL parents

2010-03-26

General information for this season, including required equipment and club rules.

General Info:  Soccer season usually consists of two practices in the evenings during the week with games taking place for in-house teams on Saturday mornings between 10:00am and 2:00pm. Travel Games for U-10 and older are played on Sundays at various locations throughout South Western PA and WV.

Uniforms:  Uniforms will be available for purchase at the concession stand in late March or early April, you can pay for your uniforms at that time. Travel players should NOT get numbers on their uniform until talking with the coach

Registration:  Travel and In House Registration Forms are available to print out on the registration page.  In House registrations can also be made on-line at this time.

Reminder:  The Spring Soccer Season does include the selling of  fundraiser tickets.  The fundraiser ticket helps us to maintain our facilities, purchase equipment, and provide an enjoyable soccer experience for our players.

Note to New Parents:  Some things that your player will need for the upcoming season:  Soccer Spikes (soccer spikes do not have a spike over the toe and are different from baseball spikes, if you're not sure ask the sales person), Shin Guards, A Soccer Ball (all in house teams use a size 3 soccer ball, travel varies by age U10 through U12 use a size 4, U13 and older size 5.

Just a reminder:  No Pets are allowed on our fields, including the grass around the fields.  We know your pet is perfectly behaved around many active kids kicking balls, but someone else's pet may not be as calm.  It also protects the pet from flying balls, and helps keep our fields clean. Besides “No Pets” is a Rostraver Township rule for the DiVirgilio Sports Complex, so as a Club we have to say no to all pets.   Thanks for your compliance and understanding.

The DeVirgilio Sports Complex is equipped with a lightning alarm.  In the event that the lightning alarm should activate while you are at the fields everyone is to leave the playing areas and take shelter at the pavilion by the concession stand.  You are then to remain there until the lightning alarm sounds again to give the "all clear"  at which point you may return to the fields.
