BVA March Madness Tournament

Congrats on a GREAT tournament yesterday. Although the first (3) BVA teams in the tournament were very competitive in every game, none of the teams moved on to the playoffs. There was some great effort there though and we were VERY close in what seemed like each and every game.  

The BVA Gold team then went 3-1 in bracket play by defeating Southmoreland, Baldwin and Waynesburg to take first place in Group D. The Gold team then won 3 straight games in the playoffs to win the tournament and bring home the BIG TROPHY. In the playoffs, BVA did not allow a goal and defeated Ringgold's Gold team 1-0 in the finals to take the championship in a very close and intense match. Although we had made the finals in previous years and won several other tournaments, this was the first BVA team to take the championship in our own tournament. Congrats to the Seniors and Juniors on this team in achieving this accomplishment.

Congrats to all of the players for an outstanding effort. Thanks as well to all of the parents that worked hard to make our tournament successful again. Although it was a long day, the outcome was certainly worth the effort and I hope that you had fun and enjoyed the day.
